The Boston Celtics had a very busy summer, and although they have already done a lot of business, they are not done yet. The Celtics landed Kristaps Porzingis to replace Marcus Smart, and then they traded in Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers. They have the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on their roster. They are going to contend this season.
They handed Jaylen Brown the most expensive contract in the history of the NBA, and they would like to make some financial adjustments. They want to replace Robert Williams, who played 35 games for them last season and averaged 8 points, 1.4 assists, and 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 74.7 percent from the field. Will the Celtics replace him with somebody cheap, or are they going to throw in their draft capital for a big trade? Here are three players who we think can replace Williams.
Nerlens Noel to the Boston Celtics
Noel is not on an NBA roster right now, and this is the best time for the Celtics to acquire him. He is a brilliant player. His defensive and rim protection skills would come in handy for the Celtics for sure. He doesn’t have great last season stats to show for it since he played only 17 games last season.

Daniel Theis to the Boston Celtics
If the Celtics do not want to spend much, they would love to do this deal. The player is familiar with the management and squad since he has already played for the Celtics twice. He made 7 appearances last season with the Pacers and averaged 7 points, 1.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field. How huge of an impact would he make on an already talented roster?

Nicolas Claxton to the Boston Celtics
Even though Claxton is a better player than Williams, the Celtics would need to spend a significant amount on the player. They might need to work hard to extend him as well. Are Celtics up for this tedious job?
The Celtics would not like to leave any stone unturned. They want to win a title and that is why they have spent that much on their squad. What will be the final piece of the puzzle? We’ll keep you updated.
