BritBox is a joint venture between BBC and ITV. It is going to be the biggest streaming platform for British TV content in the world.
“BritBox will be the home for the best of British creativity – celebrating the best of the past, the best of today and investing in new British originated content in the future,”
said ITV CEO Carolyn McCall.
On the other hand, BBC Director General Tony Hall said that,
“a new streaming service delivering the best home-grown content to the public who love it best. The service will have everything from old favourites to recent shows and brand new commissions.”

When is it going to launch?
According to reports, the date has not been fixed for the launch of BritBox. However, it is predicted that the streaming giant will be out somewhere in the second half of 2019.

Just like its launch date, its pricing details too seem to have been kept under wraps. Both the companies have not confirmed anything on the pricing front. Though have been maintaining that the cost will be competitive. According to rumours, the cost of BritBox will be around £5.
