Tim Stockdale, one of the renowned British Showjumpers lost his battle to stomach cancer. The 54- year old took his last breath at Cynthia Spencer Hospice on 14 November. His Wife Laura and his two sons, Mark and Joseph were beside him when the unfortunate happened.
From his international debut in 1988 till his official retirement, Stockdale appeared in three senior Championship teams and rode the horse for the British in over 50 Nation Cups.
His famous grey mare Fresh Direct Corlato was the one who took him to the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and then again in the 2009 Windsor Europeans. However, his first major championship was in the 2002 World Equestrian Games.

The career of Stockdale was full of glory. The grandest, however, came late in 2010, when he won the prestigious King George V Gold Cup. This time he was riding Fresh Direct Kalico Bay. Other wins included 2007 Royal Windsor and 2002 Horse of The Year Show.
His funeral will be held in Northamptonshire, which will be private to his family and close ones. A memorial will be held later, which will reflect upon his life and achievements. May he rest in peace.
