Bishop Montoya is going to perform a mass exorcism after the killing of a 10-year-old girl in Buenaventura, Columbia. He plans to perform exorcism during the annual patron saint’s festival.
Bishop Montoyo perform exorcism
The Bishop of Buenaventura, Monsignor Rubén Darío Jaramillo Montoya is set to drive out the demons that he believes haunt the city by performing an exorcism. He also criticizes the demons for increased violence, smuggling and poverty in the city.
Montoya expressed his desire to pour holy water throughout the city with the help of a military helicopter, on Columbian Radio Station for performing exorcism. Consequently, blaming the dark forces for the unrest in the city.
The bishop wishes to get all the evil out of the streets during his flight.

Bishop Montoyo and his city of Buenaventura
Buenaventura, the South American Pacific port, is the base for drug trafficking. And also home to violent crimes.
Moreover, Montoya wants to bring back the peace that the city has lost under the demonic influence by exorcism of the city. He declared the step to be a great public illustration.

Human Rights Watch released a report listing the city’s history. However, it was a blend of offences of abduction and killings by baddie gangs. It also highlighted the chop-up-houses where the victims were killed.
Nevertheless, a humanitarian zone was set up in the city to fight violence. Yet Montoya seemed unimpressed with it due to the murder counts rising to 51 until now.

Last year Montoya introduced a new training course for exorcism due to the demands for ‘deliverance ministry’.
This idea of a mass exorcism is a unique take on the increased crimes in the city. Nevertheless, the bigger question remains that whether the demons or humans haunt the city? We just hope that the city returns to its former glory as soon as possible.
