At the press conference, according to news sources, Glab was hanging around for the players to appear when a reporter made a joke and suggested she go interview Diggs. A live stream of the press conference picked up her voice and she was heard saying,
“There’s no control over Stefon Diggs. The dude’s gonna do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say ‘F you,’…that’s how he treats everybody.”
Glab’s comments in the video spread quickly across social media, resulting in a great deal of criticism from her supporters and detractors. Subsequently, Glab gave an apology for what was formerly known as Twitter.
She stated that she had not intended to cause any harm and held Diggs in high esteem both as a player and as an individual.
She then went on to clarify that she was just being facetious and that Diggs had an amusing rapport with the press. She confessed she should not have said what she did and that she was incorrect.
