Buggy-The Clown Could Be The Ultimate One Piece
Buggy The Clown, a former apprentice of Gol D. Roger, is now the captain of Buggy Pirates and co-leader of the Buggy and Alvida Alliance. He may be described as a twisted antagonist who had his share of conflicts with the protagonist, Monkey D Luffy, yet assisted him in challenging circumstances.
Why do the Reddit fans think Buggy could be the ultimate One Piece? For starters, one of Buggy’s abilities is to split into several pieces. With the help of “Bara Bara” Devil Fruit, Buggy, the clown, possesses the power to survive any slash attacks, split their body into several pieces, and control them.
His power is literally to cut himself in many pieces. But when together he is literally in “One Piece”. And thats why Rogers crew laughed so hard when they found out what the One Piece is. It’s Buggy in “One Piece”. He was the first Devil Fruit user Luffy fought and he even declared that he would become the “God of the Pirates”. Man is already an Emperor, the next natural step is definitely being the God of Pirates or the One Piece itself.

In Chapter 967 of the manga series, Gol D Roger was shown laughing after discovering what One Piece honestly was. It was mentioned that Oden, who was a part of Roger’s crew and accompanied him on his expedition, had learned a lot about Void Century, the Ancient Weapons, and the meaning of the D., and discovered the treasure left by the mythical character Joy Boy. However, they all laughed when they realized what the prize was.
Didn’t the Roger flashback confirm that the treasure’s name was coined by the people of the world, and not named directly by Roger or anyone on his crew? That would pretty much make any treasure that plays off the name One Piece not really possible, since only Roger knows what it is and the people that named it have never seen it.

It’s unclear why Roger laughed after discovering the treasures and voiced his desire to be born during the same era as Joy Boy. Buggy and Shanks could never catch a glimpse of the treasure because Buggy picked up a high fever at the last minute of their expedition.
