Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to conclude and it’s getting really exciting for the fans as Captain Marvel 2 seems to be in motion. While everyone has their eyes on what the surviving heroes are planning against Thanos, “Captain Marvel” is expected to arrive soon.
Directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, this Captain Marvel will feature Brie Larson’s character. The OG Avengers’ contracts are ending with “Endgame”. So Marvel Studios is expected to focus on the new additions including “Captain Marvel” and “Black Panther”.
It is likely that Captain Marvel 2 will release during Phase Four. Then Carol Danvers will be allowed to interact with the big names of the shared universe. Brie Larson is already prepared for it all. She said,
I mean my dream would be that Ms. Marvel gets to come into play in the sequel. That’s the goal.
The Oscar-winning actress put forth questions regarding future crossovers. She also said that she wants Ms. Marvel to get a role in Captain Marvel 2. She isn’t alone in this. Many people want to see Kamala Kahn.
Who is Ms. Marvel?
For those who are not aware, Kamala Kahn is the first Muslim character of Marvel who has her own comic book. She has the ability to shapeshift (much like Captain Marvel’s villain, the Skrulls) and heal herself. Brie Larson’s desire for making Ms Marvel a part of Captain Marvel 2 completely makes sense.
The massive franchise will rise to another level in a couple of days. Kamala’s unique ability of shapeshifting hasn’t been shown onscreen, except for “The Fantastic Four” movie. The visual effects team of Marvel will have to face new challenges if this happens in Captain Marvel 2. The audience will also get a unique experience.
Apart from this, it will be a major cultural moment. The MCU grew diverse during Phase Three with movies like “Black Panther”, “Captain Marvel”, “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, etc.
