Early Life & Education
Carmen Jane Plant was born on November 21, 1968, in Birmingham, England, to musician Robert Anthony Plant and his wife, Maureen Plant Wilson.
She was the eldest of three children, with two brothers- Karac Pendragon and Logan Romero Planet. Sadly, Karac passed away in 1977 at the age of 5.
Carmen was brought up primarily by her mother, as her father, an international musician, was constantly traveling for shows. In August 1983, when she was 14, her parents split.
She also has a half-brother named Jesse Lee Plant, the son of Carmen’s aunt and Robert Plant. At the age of seven, Carmen was a student of Elm-field Rudolf Steiner which is situated in Stourbridge, West Midlands.
On 4 August 1975, Jane and her parents were unfortunate enough to be caught in a car crash on the Greek isle of Rhodes. The car lost control and smashed into a tree, leaving the family with various injuries.

Carmen Plant’s debut vocal performance was a giggle in the background of her dad’s song, The Ocean, penned in 1972. The lyrics even commemorate her with a special line! However, she didn’t follow in her father’s footsteps musically, instead, she opted for the art of dance.
Carmen Jane Plant is an elegant ballet dancer and instructor. She made a big splash with her performance of The Serpent Layer at the Exeter Corn Exchange on 13 May 2018.
This spectacle had the media buzzing due to its incorporation of traditional dance movements from around the globe.
Carmen honed her belly-dancing skills under the tutelage of Serena Ramzy, the wife of Hossam Ramzy, who was part of the No Quarter Middle Eastern orchestra, put together by Page and Plant.
Her dancing has been featured in renowned events such as the Rivermead Womad Music Festival, Glastonbury Festival, and the Babylon Arabic Ensemble.
