The psychological horror drama based on Stephen King’s multiverse, Castle Rock Season 2 has been renewed by Hulu. It is no wonder why the show has been recommissioned, considering its huge popularity among fans and critics.

The beginning of 2019 saw several rumours and speculations about the upcoming season, even before the end of the first instalment. So with this new announcement, fans can rest in peace and rejoice the return of the beloved series.
Although a release date has not yet been confirmed, there are several other pieces of information released by the streaming service.

Castle Rock is based on storylines and plots based on Stephen King’s novels and short stories located in the town of the same name. The new season is rumoured to be inspired by the 1987 novel by King called, Misery.
Star-studded Cast for Season 2
The second installment is also set to feature a spectacular star cast. Mean Girls actress Lizzy Caplan is set to play the role of Annie Wilkes, the famous psychopath. Other notable members of the cast include Elsie Fisher from Eighth Grade, Tim Robbins from Here and Now, Barkhad Abdi from Blade Runner, and Matthew Allen from 13 Reasons Why.
Since the show is an anthology series featuring storylines segregated from each other, it is expected that there will be a lot of new faces and a wider star cast in this upcoming installment.
Castle Rock Season 2 is expected to release on Hulu this year.
