DISCLAIMER: SPOILERS AHEAD!
Aki vs. the Ghost Devil: In the last episode, we saw how Aki finally overcame his fears while remembering Himeno during a fight with the Ghost Devil. The Ghost Devil is holding him by his neck, but for some reason, he drops him down, hands him a cigarette, and enables Aki to kill him. The fact that the Ghost Devil cannot see through her eyes and senses the opponent’s fear of killing them helps Aki to win the fight. At the same time, Kobeni creeps up behind Akane, the lady who commands the snake devil, and places a knife to her neck.
Denji vs. Katana Man: Denji approaches the floor where Katana Man was hiding while Power was fighting the undead. After a brief conversation, Denji quickly transforms into his hybrid form after initially seeing Katana Man in his human form. The two devil-hybrids then leap out the window and engage in a vicious fight on the rooftops of neighboring buildings. Finally, they’re on a train, trying to understand one other’s points of view. The conversation, however, comes to an abrupt halt since Denji is receptive to hearing his points of view.
The fight became brutal as soon as they entered the train’s cabin, endangering the other passengers. While Katana Man began conquering Denji by slicing off his limbs, Chainsaw’s life seemed to be coming to an end. But Denji swiftly had the upper hand in the situation when a small chainsaw sprang from his legs and sliced Katana Man in half. Katana Man, being a hybrid, survives the attack and reverts to his human form.
