An apology was demanded from Sen. Warren by Cherokee Nation member
This demand comes after the Democratic senator revealed a DNA test on her heritage. On Monday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren revealed that based on certain tests she came to know that her Native American ancestry range from 6-10 generations ago.
The Cherokee Nation came up with an argument that a DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship.
In a press release by Cherokee Nation Secretary of State, Chuck Hoskin Jr, has stated that, “The current DNA tests that we have now is not being helpful even to distinguish whether a person’s ancestors traces back to South or North America.
Warren, is currently working on her 2020 presidential run. President Trump has been repeatedly mocking the Democratic senator for her claim of Native American heritage. The president has used the term “Pocahontas” to criticize her on the campaign trail.
For her Senate re-election campaign, Warren has come up with a video which runs the results of her latest DNA test.
In the video Warren speaks of the facts of her DNA test and took a dig at the president.
As an element of a debate challenge, The President once placed a deal that if she took a DNA test he would donate $1 million to a charity of Warren’s choice. But now The President has added an obligation to his deal. On Monday, Trump was touring along the Gulf Coast to over view the Hurricane Michael damage. When asked about the DNA test taken by Warren, the president responded that he would only donate if he can test her personally.
He also added that, it will not be something he would enjoy doing and moved away.
