If soccer isn’t your thing, don’t worry. We’re here to explain the Chicago Fire series! The show started in 2012, and it got a bit tangled up with the famous Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Confusing, right?
Well, the soccer players were okay with it. People even asked the actors soccer questions. Eventually, the soccer club changed its name to Chicago Fire FC, so no more confusion. This interesting fact made the show memorable, and ……long… Now we are at the verge of Chicago Fire Season 12 and fans are wondering about the cast and possible release date, so today we talk about that.

Even though there are spin-offs, fans still want more of the original Chicago Fire. That’s a sign of a great show! They’re getting ready for the twelfth season of Chicago Fire. This tells us that people really like the series. Let’s talk about the show and Confirmed Season 12!
The Cast of Chicago Fire
Before we talk about who’s returning in Season 12, let’s give a shout-out to the creators. Derek Haas and Michael Brandt made the show, and it’s been on NBC since the beginning. We look at NBC’s website and social media for updates. Now, let’s see who might come back in Season 12.
These are the actors we’re hoping to see:
– Taylor Kinney as Lieutenant Kelly Severide
– Kara Killmer as Paramedic Sylvie Brett
– David Eigenberg as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann
– Joe Miñoso as Firefighter Joe Cruz
– Christian Stolte as Firefighter Randy “Mouch” McHolland
– Miranda Rae Mayo as Lieutenant Stella Kidd
– Alberto Rosende as Firefighter Blake Gallo
– Daniel Kyri as Firefighter Darren Ritter
– Hanako Greensmith as Paramedic Violet Mikami
– Eamonn Walker as Deputy District Chief Wallace Boden
These are the main characters we’re excited about. But, there were some changes last season. Now, we’re wondering who’s really coming back. One big question is about Taylor Kinney, who played Kelly. He suddenly left last season for a special OFI training camp. NBC and Wolf Entertainment said it’s temporary. But, will he be back for Season 12 as Kelly Severide? Maybe with a smaller role?
Jesse Spencer, who plays Casey, is definitely coming back. He shared with someone at NBC,
“Casey might return to 51. He’s thinking about it. Could he restart things with Brett? We don’t know yet. We’ll wait and see.”
Guess what? Season 12 was supposed to come in the fall of 2023. But now, it’s not happening until 2024. Why? There are strikes, like the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. These strikes are causing major issues in Hollywood.
Writers and actors want fair treatment, so lots of shows, not just Chicago Fire, are being delayed. The production of Season 12 is on pause. This means we won’t get to watch the new season anytime soon.
Chicago Fire got mixed up with soccer, which was funny. Fans are eagerly waiting for Season 12, and we’re curious about Taylor Kinney’s return. Jesse Spencer is back for sure. But, don’t get too excited about Season 12 just yet – it’s now set for 2024 due to strikes as reported by ScreenRant
