Christine Baumgartner, the estranged wife of ‘Yellowstone’ star Kevin Costner, was pictured without her wedding band after filing for divorce after 18 years of marriage. Baumgartner and Costner split about a month ago, according to court documents, but their divorce suit was only filed this week.
The couple’s divorce was announced on May 2nd. Cayden, 15, Logan, 14, and Grace, 12, are Costner and Baumgartner’s three children. During his divorce from his first wife, Cindy Silva, the actor had to pay a whopping $80 million in settlement. Baumgartner may not get much, however, because the ‘Yellowstone’ star has a prenuptial agreement in place this time.

According to Us Weekly, the handbag designer, 49, has listed April 11 as the date of separation in court paperwork. Baumgartner filed for divorce in California on Monday, May 1, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Costner, 68, responded a day later, giving the same reason for the divorce.
In a statement to TMZ, a representative for Costner said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” adding, “We ask that his, Christine Baumgartner’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
Costner and Baumgartner originally met while playing golf in the early 1990s. Following his divorce from Silva and breakup with Pittsburgh Steelers heiress Bridget Rooney, the ‘Waterworld’ star reconnected with Baumgartner in 1999. In 2004, they married.
According to a RadarOnline report from 2022, Christine Baumgartner reportedly pressured Costner to leave the Paramount+ series after Season 5 because she was tired of his demanding filming schedule. It has also been rumored that he will not return to ‘Yellowstone’ once Part 1 of Season 5 airs, leaving the fate of Part 2 up in the air.
