Over the past couple of months, there were rumors of Dodgers trading in Yasiel Puig, Alex Wood and Matt Kemp to the Reds. There were speculations that this might be a disastrous move by the LA Dodgers. But now, it is official.
As per a tweet by Jeff Passan, the three players have been traded off by the LA to the Cincinnati Reds. In return, the Dodgers might pick up a new free agent, Bryce Harper. They might bring back Homer Bailey too.
This is one of the biggest news for the Cincinnati Reds. All the three players are masters of the game. Kemp might look like an over-investment but he would be giving the much needed productive bat to the Reds lineup. Not only these three, but the Reds are also blessed with Kyle Famer.
For the Dodgers, only three prospects have been confirmed to date. They are infielder Jeter Downs, Homer Bailey and pitcher Josiah Grey.
But it would be interesting to see whether Bryce makes it through.
