Why would the Mavericks like to sign Clint Capela?
The Mavericks are trying to build an offense based on pick and roll. They have Luka Doncic who is a brilliant playmaker and all they need now is an equally great roll man. They have some options but all of them are mediocre, and they would love to upgrade them. Capela’s rim protection skill gives him an edge over other players. He has done it with many. Can he do it with Doncic as well?

Why would the Hawks trade-off Clint Capela?
The Hawks are making space for Onyeka Okongwu here. He is not a better rim protector than Capela, but he is versatile and nearly equally good as a roll man. They are getting two decent players and a draft pick in this deal.
