A pizza delivery driver from south Philadelphia is being praised by the police and people in his neighborhood for tripping a suspect who was being chased.
NBC said that on Sunday afternoon (April 16), police in Brookhaven, a neighborhood about 30 minutes from Philadelphia, were involved in a car chase after someone stole a car. But the chase ended quickly when the suspect’s car hit a pole in front of a house where a pizza delivery driver named Tyler was delivering an order.
The news outlet got a home video of the incident, in which a voice can be heard saying:
That’s a high-speed chase.
After the car hit the pole, the suspect, who was only known to be a 17-year-old male, ran past Tyler. Tyler’s only choice was to put out his foot and trip the young suspect, which let the police catch up to him.
In the video, you can hear the police officers telling the suspect to “get on the ground.”
Cocco’s Pizza, where Tyler works, posted a video of what happened to their Facebook page with the following message:
Sorry for the inappropriate language, but we thought it was warranted. Special shoutout to our delivery driver Tyler, who assisted the Brookhaven police today, and STILL delivered the food unharmed!!
In the comments section, many people said nice things about the delivery guy. One person wrote:

Another comment read:

Brookhaven Police also posted the video to their account and even offered Tyler a job on the force if he ever wanted to join:

After everything that has happened, Tyler might be in the wrong business after all.
