Cody Fern was born in Southern Cross, a rural town in Western Australia, on 6 July 1988. He received his education at Merredin Senior High School, a boarding school, and earned an Honours Degree in Commerce from Curtin University of Technology in 2009.
Career
At first, Cody Fern had contemplated a career in finance but later decided to pursue acting. In an interview with Anthem Magazine, he revealed that he disliked his job in finance. The Cate Blanchett-led movie series Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age inspired him to become an actor.
Fern has received training from notable acting coaches such as Ellen Burstyn, Larry Moss, and Susan Batson. She also received praise for her portrayal of Albert in the National Theatre of Great Britain’s production of War Horse.
