On Wednesday, December 19, CoinList decided officially converting ‘CoinList Build’ into a product. The announcement regarding this drastic step was taken by Andy Bromberg, CoinList President during an interaction with CoinDesk.
This initiative has been taken so that new crypto companies can try their luck in their platforms. And so, to facilitate this, CoinList initiated an all-new product launch which will make it easy for the companies to begin online hackathons in a short period. In the meanwhile, coin lists new project ‘0x’ is all set to be launched utilizing the platform in January.
CoinList is mainly known as a firm which has offered backend services for various projects to carry out token sales. As per the company, nearly 50 teams have successfully been able to raise a sum of $450 million from investors till date.
To put it in simple words, hackathons have earlier performed in in-person places. However, online hackathons are now proving to be more workable as participants no longer have to travel anywhere from their house.
Bromberg said that this factor drastically lowers the barriers of entry for the contributors in the blockchain ecosystem.
The very first hackathon will begin starting from 10 January to February 7. To lure more participants to enrol and participate, 0x is placing tokens worth the sum of $50,000 as prizes.
CoinList has not disclosed the amount of money it will be earning from these events. This part is still being discussed, said Bromberg. However, he said that one could expect the participants are earning more than compared to CoinList. There are several other blockchain based companies which would probably take part in the same kind of events.
Notably, the name of 0x’s first event is ‘Bringing Decentralized Markets to the Masses.’ Bromberg explained CoinDesk that the major intention of the event is to concentrate on gaming, decentralized finance and compliance.
