The Orlando Magic’s guard Cole Anthony is likely to get traded to the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason. The Lakers have been doing great with their star duo of LeBron James and Anthony running riots on the court for them. But the Lakers won their last title in 2020. They would probably want to bid LeBron a beautiful farewell with a title. The Magic have a young roster, and they would like to trade off a few of those for some veterans.
The North Carolina Tar Heels product played 60 games for the Magic last season and averaged 13 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting 36.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Lakers were busy this summer and they landed a lot of young players. Can they manage to acquire another quality young player? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers involving Cole Anthony.
What would the Lakers offer for Cole Anthony?
The Lakers are expected to offer Gabe Vincent and a 2029 first-round pick in exchange for the Magic’s #50 and Chuma Okeke. The Magic have a young roster, they have been rebuilding for a long time now, and they would like to land some old players now.

Why would the Magic like to sign Cole Anthony?
The Magic have a logjam of young guards with overlapping weaknesses. This creates a major problem even when they have a lot of talented youngsters on their roster. They are getting a quality player who will strengthen their squad along with a draft pick. Anthony’s defending has always concerned the Magic. They would be happy to do this deal.
Assuming this isn’t satire, I’ll briefly entertain it.

Why would the Lakers like to sign Cole Anthony?
The Lakers know that LeBron may retire anytime soon and that is why their preparations for the future have already begun. Anthony is a great shot creator and a combo guard. Anthony might be used as a rotational player for a few minutes.
Will the Lakers win a title before LeBron retires? How will the Magic line up next season? We’ll keep you updated.
