It needed nothing less than a miracle for The Dallas Cowboys to come out of their inconsequential Week 17. The Cowboys were all set to pull off a stunning victory against the New York Giants. However, it was not at all easy.
The Catch Of The Year
The New York Giants are clearly one of the giants of the game. And it was no piece of cake for the Cowboys, who were struggling with their offense. But Dak Prescott and Cole Beasley took the Cowboys home. A stunning display of the famous Tony Romo-esque spin was shown by Prescott who delivered the ball to Cole Beasley. Beasley with all his efforts put on a complete horizontal dive and claimed the best catch of the year. After initially being ruled out, the catch was reviewed and called as a touchdown.
The Momentum from the Catch!
This stupendous effort by Beasley energized the entire team. They went on to convert two more and finally register a nail-biting 36-35 win over the NY Giants.
Dallas Cowboys were struggling to live up to their fans expectations. They had a disappointing season since their embarrassing defeat against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. The team was desperate to get back in the game and at the same time, they wanted to preserve their best players for the Wild Card Weekend.
Sidelining their major players
To prepare their players for the Wild Card Weekends, the Cowboys decided to sideline their star Zack Martin who was having troubles with his injured knees. He was later joined by Tyron Smit and Ezekiel Elliot. It was expected that Prescott will also be put on the sideline, but luckily enough,he played the entire game.
The Dallas Cowboys have regained their momentum, and on the same time rested their major players ahead of the big game. So are they going to pull off a blinder at the Wild Card Weekend? We have to wait and see.
