After 17 years of marriage and three children, a lady who discovered her husband was also her cousin has urged others to get DNA tests. Celina Quinones, a Colorado native, discovered the terrible news while researching her family history.
“Married my husband in 2006,” she said on TikTok about her tale. We had three children without thinking twice about it. We discovered we were relatives and cousins. My children and spouse are my entire world, and we ignored it. Our children all have ten fingers and ten toes. It’s a great icebreaker.”
‘We did not know till we had a DNA test.’
Quinones claimed they had no clue they were related cousins while dating. “I’ve been married to my cousin for 17 years. No, we didn’t know until we performed a DNA test. “We had a four-month courtship before we married,” she said in another video, adding, “He is still and will always be my everything.” I’m not going to let a little bit of blood ruin what we’ve built, this lovely family.”

I know it erks some people that we are still together plugging away! 🤣🤣🤣
Her TikTok videos, on the other hand, drew a lot of criticism, with one user writing, “I mean, you look related.” “This is something you don’t tell anyone,” remarked another. “That’s so gross, like out of all the people in the world, you choose to date so close to ur families and communities; it’s so weird,” a third user wrote.
‘Let me divorce him because we didn’t know’
Quinones responded to those who chastised her for remaining with her husband. “Let me divorce him because we didn’t know,” she said. Let me inform our children that their parents are no longer together because of other people’s opinions.” “No, thank you, we’ll just be cousins, spouses, and lovers forever,” she continued. Now go vomit up some more in your mouth.”
@realestatemommas Haha divorce is always the solution. No one takes marriage seriously it is sad! We dont beleive in the D word but we beleive in the C word #cousband ♬ original sound – The Qs for Kings and Queens
She told one user how she found out she was related to her spouse. “I found out we were related three kids in,” she wrote. I took my DNA test in 2016, and it was heartbreaking because I was like, “babe, we’re related; are we even supposed to be together?” This is strange. It really frightened me.”
