While there have been repetitions of nominees, fans feel 2023 had quite a few underrated anime series that Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 missed out on. For instance, many fans believe Crunchyroll should have nominated Bocchi The Rock for Best Art Direction. Bocchi had been nominated in practically every category, but fans were surprised when it was not recognized in the category for which it is most known!
Another reason why people aren’t taking the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 seriously is because Bleach TYBW Cour 2 has received no nominations this year. Despite the series making the most significant comeback of the year, fans were shocked to learn that Crunchyroll has not included Bleach TYBW Cour 2 in any of the categories. This has further caused the fanbase to lose hope for the Crunchyroll Anime Award 2024.
Fans have similar feelings about Heavenly Delusion and Mob Psycho 100, which did not even get three nominations this year. However, fans are satisfied that Mob Psycho 100 is at least under the list of Best Animation if not in the list of Anime of the Year.
