A CTV reporter suffered a terrifying medical emergency during a live broadcast that left many worried. Jessica Robb, a Canadian reporter, was reporting to an anchor when she said, “I’m not feeling very well right now.” Robb was reporting to Nahreman Issa from the field in Edmonton when the horrifying medical emergency occurred. Her speech started slurring and the change in expression was worrisome.
While reporting on Monday, January 10, Robb told the anchor, “Sorry, Nahreman. I’m not feeling very well right now and I’m about to….” It was at this moment when she started sliding toward the camera and the footage cut off. Issa, reporting from the studio, addressed the tragic incident. She said, “We will make sure that Jessica is OK, and we’ll give you guys an update a little bit later.”
Mike Sington, a senior executive at NBC Universal wrote, “A very scary situation. Canadian TV reporter Jessica Robb suffers a medical emergency live on the air. CTV Edmonton says she is “better”, and Robb says she is now “okay”, and has thanked everyone for their support.”

CTV Reporter suffers medical emergency during live broadcast
Robb posted a statement after somewhat recovering from the live incident. She said, “On Sunday night, a very personal and vulnerable moment unfolded as I reported live on air. Since then, it has been shared thousands of times, along with baseless theories about the cause.” Robb thanked her well-wishers. She continues, “To everyone who has reached out with supportive messages of well wishes and concern, thank you.”
The reporter said, “It’s been overwhelming, and while I can’t get to all the messages, please know I’ve seen them and appreciate every single one. I have also received an overwhelming amount of harassment and hatred, tied to false theories about the reason for the incident.”
She continues, “While I will not share private medical information publicly, I can say that there is no cause for concern, and that my understanding of my own medical background provides a reasonable explanation for what happened. I can, however, confirm that the situation was in no way related to the Covid-19 vaccine.”
