Anthony Chiang Reveals Inside Scoop on Damian Lillard Trade Talks
Anthony Chiang is a popular NBA news reporter, and he recently, on his podcast, revealed something big about the Damian Lillard trade deal. Chiang said:
“I don’t even know if I buy it 100 percent, but someone that has knowledge of what’s going on, they’re not even convinced that Portland wants to trade Damian Lillard at this point.”
“It almost feels like they’re trying to find a way to maybe change his mind or delay this and see if Dame goes, ‘Well, I’ll just be part of this.’“
The Trail Blazers analyzed the trade packages for Damian Lillard during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The Blazers wanted to find out what other teams were willing to offer in exchange for their star player.
Blazers’ General Manager, Joe Cronic, told news reporters in Los Vegas that he is ready to be patient and wait a few more months to make a trade deal for Damian. He is waiting because the GM wants to obtain the best possible deal for Lillard.
Damian Lillard Uninterested in Clippers, Knicks, 76ers, Celtics, or Nets
As of now, the Miami Heat is one of the only basketball teams that is showing interest in the All-Star guard. Moreover, Damian has clearly stated that he is not interested in playing for other teams like Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, or Brooklyn Nets.
Now it seems like a third-team involvement would help the Trail Blazers to trade Damian Lillard since the Miami Heat is not offering any appealing packages.
