People in the UK have said a lot of bad things about a man’s strange relationship. Dan Swygart, who is 26 years old, is said to have flown to Long Island, New York, so he could meet Shauna Rae Lesick in person. In an episode of her TLC show, “I Am Shauna Rae,” they talked about how they met. The strange thing about them is that the 26-year-old is dating a 23-year-old woman who is stuck in the body of an eight-year-old.
Dan Swygart from Wales has been called a “sicko” and a “creep” by Internet users for dating a woman who looks like a third-grade child. This has caused the two to put their budding love on hold and stay friends. But, according to a recent update on their relationship, they are “still good friends” and are still “getting to know each other.” Fans of the reality star are very protective of her, and they even criticize her parents for how they raised her.
Better off as friends than as a couple?
Shauna, who is 3’11” tall and weighs 50 pounds, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Because of the side effects of her treatment, her growth slowed down. Shauna and Dan Swygart met on social media, and it didn’t take them long to realize that they were interested in “similar” things. After Dan Swygart was on the TLC reality show that showed the two of them meeting for the first time, a lot of people asked him why he was dating such a childish girl. Soon after, Dan Swygart said that the two would be better off as friends than as a couple.
Even so, Dan Swygart gave an update on their relationship three months after the episode aired. Dan wrote on his Instagram Stories when he shared a news story about himself:
Literally every single time I go on Facebook or YouTube all I see are videos of me and Shauna,
reported a source. He added,
Me and Shauna are still good friends, getting to know each other.
‘He’s coming back!’
Dan Swygart first reached out to Shauna after watching the first season of her show and being “inspired by her emotional strength.” He sent the reality star flowers and a card with the words,
Go live your best life. Wishing you all the happiness you deserve.
On the show, they spent their first day together at an aquarium and an escape room. In the next episode, Dan made sushi rolls at Shauna’s house.
I haven’t actually really thought about if Dan and I were in a relationship and how that would look,
Shauna said at the end of Dan’s trip to the U.S.,
I’m sure that I’ll see Dan again. He’s coming back.
