The Los Angeles Lakers’ guard D’Angelo Russell might get traded to the Miami Heat this offseason. The Lakers have the best playmaker one can afford, LeBron James is a part of their roster but they would still like to have somebody to share the burden. Although they have Russell for that, he is not doing that great for the Lakers and he is not able to complement James.
The Ohio State Buckeyes product played 17 games for the Lakers last season and averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 41.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Heat have been eyeing him for a while since the Damian Lillard deal might not happen at all. Will they land Russell as an alternative for him? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat involving D’Angelo Russell.
What would the Heat offer for D’Angelo Russell?
The Heat are likely to offer Duncan Robinson and a 2029 first round pick in exchange for the Lakers’ #1. The American can catch and shoot as well but dribbling and shooting is what the player prefers more. The Lakers failed to achieve what they signed him for and now they would like to get returns for him rather than hanging onto the player.

Why would the Lakers trade off D’Angelo Russell?
The Lakers looked for other options and then they landed Gabe Vincent. It is possible that they planned to trade Russell and that is why they brought in an immediate replacement for the 27 year old. They are getting Robinson in return and he is a player of the required profile. A draft pick attached to him might prove enough.

Why would the Heat like to sign D’Angelo Russell?
The Blazers’ star point guard Damian Lillard had asked for a trade to the Heat in the beginning of the trade window. The Heat would have loved to land him but they do not have enough capital and that is why the deal is nowhere close to happening. Now, they are getting another quality point guard and they would want him to join them.
Will Russell’s fate take a turn if he gets traded to the Heat? How will the Lakers solve their problem for the long term? We’ll keep you updated.
