Birds of Prey is all set to be DC’s big multi-starrer movie based out of a comic book series of the same name. The film finished with the first round of post-production in April and was shown to a few people as a ‘test screening’.
However, as it turns out, not many are happy with the movie and are in fact giving rather mixed reviews. The studios are not happy with this as it looks like the movie is heading towards the Suicide Squad path.
Birds of Prey Gets Mixed Reviews
Basically, the movie, which features Margot Robbie reprise her role as Harley Quinn, was appreciated by the audiences watching it in the initial set of screenings. However, when the internal management and the producers saw it, they were not quite satisfied.
Warner Bros. experimented with such mixed-review kind of a cinema with Suicide Squad. But are they willing to take yet another leap of faith with Birds of Prey? The movie features Oracle, Black Canary and the Huntress teaming up with Harley Quinn to take on Black Mask, portrayed by Ewan McGregor.
So the audience test screening for Birds of Prey had people raving about it and the internal WB test screening seemingly had the opposite effect. So basically all I needed to be reassured. Hopefully Robbie can keep their hands off of it.

However, considering that there are ‘mixed reactions’ about the movie, the release of the film might be altered. There might be additions or subtractions to the film based on what the studio thinks would make it better.
