Who is Deadpool? The character in Marvel comics explored
Deadpool was created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld for Marvel Comics. He first appeared in New Mutants #98, published in December 1990. Deadpool is the alter ego of Wade Wilson, who was disfigured during his treatment for Cancer. The character is often known for his humor and constant breaking of the fourth wall to talk to the audience. Deadpool, in the series Deadpool and Cable (2004) was seen stating that he is a mix of Ryan Reynolds and Shar-Pei.

In the comics, Deadpool’s main power is his ability to heal super quickly. The smaller the wound, the faster he would heal. His healing power is so effective that he has survived complete incineration and decapitation more than once. His ability to heal the neurons in his head makes him immune to psychic and telepathic powers. He is immortal.
The character is also very athletic and has mastered multiple forms of martial arts. He is a highly trained assassin with expert marksmanship and is an excellent swordsman trained in the katana.
How Deadpool 3 can fix the MCU?
Ryan Reynolds eventually portrayed the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). He also played the character in Deadpool (2016) and its sequel Deadpool 2 (2019). The third part of the franchise is stated to be released in late 2024 under the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie will also feature Hugh Jackman’s wolverine.
There are speculations about how the movie will connect with the other Marvel movies and its character. It is stated that Deadpool 3 will help bring two of the most loved mutants into the MCU. Since the Marvel universe made it possible for three Spidermans to come together, there might be a possibility to bring mutants into the scene as well. However, it might be hard for Deadpool and Wolverine to stay in the MCU’s 616 universe permanently in fear of an incursion.

There is a lot of potential for Deadpool in the 616 universe and in order to be in it, Deadpool might need to beat the incursion from happening. There are so many theories as to how this can be made possible. One of which includes Deadpool inventing his own time travel using Cable’s time machine. He is shown to have used the time machine successfully to bring his girlfriend back to life and kill Ryan Renolds before he reads the green lantern script.
Deadpool 3 will probably touch upon these topics, which makes it more exciting for the audience, as we can speculate on different and humorous ways the movie ties itself with the rest of the universe.
