While Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has already been announced to join Deadpool 3, we might be seeing more of X-Men joining him. Although there haven’t been any official announcements yet, fans have received a reliable tip on Twitter about the X-Men‘s cast involvement in Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are known to share off-screen frenemy banters that keep us all entertained. This has kept fans even more excited to see the actors share on-screen space. It was officially announced in September 2022 that Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. The announcement was made in completely Ryan Reynolds’ comedy style where Hugh Jackman casually walks by and agrees to be a part of the movie. Reynolds had taken to his social media handles where he discussed how he was soul-searching while working on Deadpool 3 and had one idea.
“Hey Hugh, wanna play Wolverine one more time?”
“Yeah, sure, Ryan.”
Reynolds and Jackman also answered some fan questions post their announcement.
“I’m sure you had a lot of questions. But rest assured; we’re going to answer them right now. Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?”
“Logan takes place in 2029, totally separate thing. Logan died in (the movie) Logan, not touching that.”
Who Else is Joining Deadpool 3?
According to CanWeGetSomeToast’s Twitter, it has since been revealed that Hugh will be joined by some other old friends from X-Men. The tweet stated that we will be seeing Storm, Jean Gray, and Cyclops reprising their roles in the third instalment of Deadpool 3. The mutants are played by actors Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden. The rumours of Halle Berry returning as Storm were also doing rounds when she uploaded a picture on her social media rocking her short silver locks a couple of weeks ago.

This is not all, the Twitter handle also revealed that we will also be seeing the return of two villains in Deadpool 3. The source tweeted that the fans will not be able to guess who these villains will be.
“There are TWO other cast members returning for #Deadpool3. One from the Fox X-Men movies and one from the MCU. They’re villains and you would NEVER guess who. I’ll reveal them in due time because it’s far too early, so for now have fun speculating.”
These revelations have certainly got all the Deadpool and X-Men fans super excited. A lot of fan guesses include Magneto, Azazel, Apocalypse, Ultron, etc., returning as villains. Nevertheless, the news about this potential collaboration is already breaking the internet. It has certainly created much larger hype for Deadpool 3 amongst the MCU fandom.
Deadpool 3 Release Date
The third instalment of Ryan Reynold‘s Deadpool series will be directed by Shawn Levy. Reynolds is one of the writers for the movie along with Shawn Levy, Rhett Reese, Zeb Well, and Paul Wernick. Both Wolverine and Deadpool fans have been eagerly waiting for the movie’s release. Ever since the announcement of Hugh Jackman’s return, fans have been speculating a number of theories about his involvement in the Deadpool series. The movie will showcase a multiversal saga which will introduce Jackman’s Wolverine into Deadpool.
As per IMDB, the cast list of the upcoming Deadpool 3 also shows Succession’s star Mathew Mcfayden, who played Tom Wambsgans, as a part of the movie. Whether these rumours are to be trusted or not is yet to be seen and they will not be confirmed until late 2024. Fans will have to wait until November 8, 2024, to watch Deadpool 3 packed with comedy and action on the big screen.
