DeMarcus Cousins is having tough luck in NBA for the past few years and it has gotten worse in this season. The NBA superstar has just played 38 games since he last tore his Achilles tendon playing for New Orleans Pelicans two years ago. It was the injury why Cousins was offered two years, 40 million free-agent contract which he declined and ended up one year, 5 million deal with the Warriors.
Playing 1s for all star would be crazy! Cj, KD, dame, JH 🔥🔥 on the low low Melo 🤦♂️

It was still going great but DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL and the Lakers gave him another chance, but he was injured again. Cousins was finally ready to make a comeback after rehab for the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs. But the NBA 2019-20 Season was suspended abruptly due to the Coronavirus pandemic and Cousins is still unsigned and working out on his recovery. DeMarcus Cousins is now over 29 and doesn’t have much future left, things won’t end for the star even when NBA games resume.
DeMarcus Cousins is Not in his Best Form
DeMarcus Cousins won’t be getting a big salary even if the Lakers offer him a new deal. The four-times NBA All-star doesn’t have any job security as he can’t offer much on the playing table. Even when he was at his physical peak, Cousins was having a hard time playing defense.
Apart from that, his playing style is still old school, whereas most of the NBA stars have evolved with the game. There are not many NBA teams that will offer DeMarcus Cousins a new contract when NBA 2019-20 Season resumes and he should accept whatever offer comes on his door.
Lakers is the Best Option for Cousins
Los Angeles Lakers are the best option for DeMarcus Cousins as he will fit in there easily without having too much load on his shoulders. He could easily work as a primary bench scorer and lighten the load off from LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
It will be difficult for Cousins to fit in a new team with young players that are looking to contend for the title. DeMarcus Cousins has missed almost two years of playing in NBA and it won’t be easy to come back as the current season might take much longer to resume operations.
