Debunking the Eleven Spinoff Rumor
The world of entertainment is no stranger to rumors, especially when it comes to potential spinoffs of beloved series. And the “Stranger Things” franchise is no exception. Recently, tabloids like The Sun and The Daily Mail were abuzz with claims that Millie Bobby Brown, the force behind Eleven, was extended a lucrative offer of $12 million (£10 million) for an Eleven-centered spinoff. However, it seems that reality is quite different.
Brown, who shot to fame with her role in “Stranger Things,” allegedly declined the multi-million dollar offer, keen on diversifying her roles in Hollywood. But how much truth does this story hold?
The official “Stranger Things” writers room didn’t shy away from addressing the elephant in the room. Taking to Twitter, they remarked, “Yeah, there’s nothing in this article that is true,” while also referencing the Daily Mail’s report, cheekily adding, “Don’t know why we have to keep debunking this rumor but get those clicks you guys!!” When it comes to confirmation, no word is more final than the ones coming from those who pen the show.
What the Duffer Brothers Envision for the Franchise
With the curtain soon to fall on the main “Stranger Things” narrative, fans have been eager to learn about potential spinoffs. Matt and Ross Duffer, the brilliant minds behind the show, have indeed been toying with the idea of extensions to the “Stranger Things” universe. However, during their chat on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, they made it clear that their vision doesn’t focus on characters we already know well.
Dismissing rumors, the Duffer Brothers clarified, “It’s not following… rumors of an Eleven spinoff or a Steve and Dustin one. That’s not interesting to us. We’ve already explored those narratives thoroughly.”
However, fans have something to look forward to. Netflix has an intriguing project up its sleeve. “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” a stage play intended for London’s West End, is on the horizon. Venturing back to 1959, this play introduces audiences to a younger Hopper, played by David Harbour in the series. An exciting twist is that the storyline is penned by Kate Trefry, a “Stranger Things” writer, from a concept brainstormed alongside the Duffer Brothers. Steering this ship will be Stephen Daldry, a Tony-award winning director.
Yeah there’s nothing in this article that is true. Don’t know why we have to keep debunking this rumor but get those clicks you guys!!

Millie Bobby Brown: Beyond Hawkins, Indiana
“Stranger Things” might be drawing to an end, but it remains close to Brown’s heart. Sharing her sentiments on wrapping up the show, she confessed to “Good Morning America”, “It’s gonna be hard… They’re like my school friends. I’m never gonna not see them again. It’s been so formative for my career.”
Apart from her iconic role as Eleven, Millie Bobby Brown’s portfolio boasts of significant projects. She’s taken the helm as Enola Holmes in two movies for Netflix, made her mark in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” and is gearing up for two major releases – “Damsel” on Netflix and “The Electric State” by the Russo Brothers.
With a career that’s only gaining momentum, it’s evident that Millie Bobby Brown has a lot more in store for her fans, even beyond the realms of Hawkins.
