Google+ the social network of Google that has not been doing very well will finally see the end of day after the discovery of security bug. Google announced on Monday that it was shutting down Google + for users as a result of the bug that exposed users private data to outside developers. The company is under a cloud after choosing not to disclose the security bug that possibly affected users.

The social network launched seven years ago has not been doing well with the company admitting that it had failed to achieve the adoption of the platform it expected to see among users. A report by the Wall Street Journal disclosed that Google chose not to reveal information about the bug that compromised users in an effort to sidestep scrutiny by regulators. The company announced that there was no evidence of the loophole having been misused.
