Disney is bringing heat to the streaming market with its new streaming service called Disney Plus.
Walt Disney unveiled its highly anticipated video streaming service on 11th April. The service will be a direct competition for Netflix.
It should be interesting to look at the dynamics between Netflix and Disney since the Mouse has launched some of its Marvel shows on Netflix.

Like every other streaming service in the market, Disney Plus will be ad-free service.
It will be available on all the major platforms like Android, iOS, Android TV and web.
Content
Disney has one of the largest content owners in the market which will help it to jumpstart their content library.

Disney CEO in a presentation said that every content made by Disney ranging from the Snow White(1973) to the latest Captain Marvel will be on the platform.
He said that all Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies have some of the interesting and powerful characters and all be coming on Disney Plus.
Disney also acquired Fox in one of the biggest deal in the entertainment industry costing it $71 billion. This deal will result in Disney taking over all content of fox that is published through the channels and streaming services. The Mouse is also expected to get valuable stats related to streaming.
Fox deal will also bring all 30 seasons of fan-favorite The Simpsons
One of the biggest weapons in its arsenal has to be Marvel. According to rumors, every upcoming Marvel movie will be a Disney Plus exclusive.

CEO Bob Iger stated that the company is approaching the streaming market with confidence and unparalleled optimism.
He further explained that the service will cover five major categories: Disney, National Geographic, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar.
The service will also produce more than 25 original series and 10 original documentaries and specials.
Pricing and Launch Date
Disney Plus is priced very competitively at $6.99 per month which severely undercuts the premium plan of Netflix which priced $11.99 and it will launch on 13 November 2019 in the US.
