Avengers: Endgame is out and we know what future Doctor Strange saw in Infinity War. Even though the last 2 Avengers movie focused on Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, Doctor Strange stole all the scenes he was in. The fight between the Master of mystic arts Dr. Strange and Thanos was one of the best scenes in Infinity War.
While we have no idea about the other Avengers returning, there is a Doctor Strange sequel coming. Here are some new updates on the upcoming Doctor Strange 2.
Villains for the Sequel
As per the reports, Doctor Strange 2 might feature a lot of new villains including Brother Voodoo and Clea. Brother Voodoo is the name for Jericho Drumm, the brother of Daniel Drumm who was killed by Kaecilius in the first Doctor Strange movie.
Clea in the comics is the niece of Dormammu, who eventually comes to take revenge from Doctor Strange. Clea and Stephen Strange then falls in love and marries each other to form an alliance and keep Dormammu away from earth. While the movie might change the fact, as it will be too comical on the big screen.
Scott Derrickson, the director of the first movie, has been rehired to direct the Doctor Strange sequel. Scott in an interview revealed that he plans to introduce Nightmare as the villain in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. There might be more than one villain, and there are major plans for Mordo, who turned from evil in the first Doctor Strange movie.
Returning Cast members
Mordo was set-up as an upcoming villain at the end of Doctor Strange, when he found that the Ancient One was using black magic to stay alive. Doctor Strange 2 might explore the fact and he might be a recurring villain who messes with Dr. Strange in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. Benedict Wong’s character who is also named Wong and played an important part in Avengers 3 and 4 will also return as the friend of Benedict Cumberbatch who will once again play the title character.

Tilda Swinton’s popular character who was also featured in Avengers: Endgame as the Ancient one might also return for Doctor Strange 2. Since Dr. Strange can bend time with the time stone, he can visit her in the past. Also, we already have Rachel McAdams’ character nurse Palmer play the titular love interest in Doctor Strange 2.

Marvel has two dates set in 2020 for upcoming untitled movie in the month of May and November. There are high chances that Doctor Strange 2 releases around November 2020, as even the first movie was released in October.
