Jodie Whittaker has been very busy lately with all the medical emergencies to deal with, so what’s next on cards for Doctor Who Season 12? Will the fans get to watch another season or this is it?
When will Doctor Who Season 12 premiere?
The new season of the show has been confirmed officially. BBC has announced that New Year’s Day Special “Resolution” will be aired this year itself. The rest of the episodes will follow next year. The filming of Doctor Who Season 12 began on January 23, 2019.
Chris Chibnall, the show maker, said,
We’re off again! Well, we never actually stopped – as Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor and friends have been winning the hearts of families across the nation this autumn, we’ve been busy with a whole new set of action packed adventures for the Thirteenth Doctor.
The series has also changed its time slot. Instead of the Saturday night slot, the new season will be aired on Sunday evenings each year. It is yet to be seen if the series will stick to its new time schedule or move back to its earlier slot. Looking at the ratings on Sunday, there are huge chances that it will stay.
What will happen in Doctor Who Season 12?
The previous season left some unanswered questions and open threads for the next season. So there is a lot in store for the audience in this season.
For instance, we know nothing about the Timeless Child, not to forget Yaz. Chibnall didn’t give any direct answers to these questions. So we can expect to see them in Doctor Who Season 12.
