The Cleveland Cavaliers’ guard Donovan Mitchell is likely to get traded to the Miami Heat this offseason. The player has only played for the Cavaliers for a season only, and rumors about his departure are already floating in the market. The amount of truth these rumors hold is still unknown, but Mitchell is yet to sign an extension with the Cavaliers. Is this a hint that the player is looking for a bigger market? Will the Cavaliers trade him, and for what amount of assets?
The Louisville Cardinals product played 68 games for the Cavaliers last season and averaged 28.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 38.6 percent from beyond the arc. Those are outstanding stats. And that is why the Heat are showing interest in landing him. Can they make it happen? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat involving Donovan Mitchell.
What would the Heat offer for Donovan Mitchell?
The Heat are expected to offer Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, and one first-round pick each from the years 2027 and 2029 in exchange for the Cavaliers’ #45. Every team has some players on their radar, and so did the Heat. But unfortunately, they could not sign him. Is this a good enough alternative?

Why would the Cavaliers trade-off Donovan Mitchell?
The Cavaliers do not want to trade the player but they have not extended him either yet. The player probably has not extended with the Cavaliers just because he wants to see where the team stands. He is likely to leave if he is not satisfied with the squad. The Cavaliers are getting two players and two draft picks in this deal which might be enough to satisfy them.

Why would the Heat like to sign Donovan Mitchell?
The Heat were likely to land Damian Lillard this whole summer, but he is with the Milwaukee Bucks now. Even when Damian insisted on playing for the Heat, he was traded to the Bucks. Now, the last season’s finalists are forced to find an alternative for the 33-year-old.
Will Mitchell be able to do what Damian would have done for the Heat? How will the Cavaliers line up? We’ll keep you updated.
