Pesquet parrot is a magnificent bird, also known as Dracula parrot
These gorgeous birds are best identified by the black and gray breasts, black beak, and the brush strokes of bright red feathers
They are nearly 50 cm (20 inches) long. They weigh about 24-28 ounces
Men and women are very similar. The only difference between them is that male animals have red spots behind their ears.
These parrots only exist in the mountains of New Guinea.
Unfortunately, these beautiful birds have become the target of local poachers, which not only caused the loss of habitat but also caused an alarming decrease in the population of Dracula parrots.
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species lists Pesquet parrots as vulnerable
