Andrew Michael Edgar Seeley was born in Toronto on April 30, 1982. His passion for performing was ignited during his childhood and he became a member of the boy band Nu Ground. Later, he joined Hal Prince’s revival of Show Boat and remained in the production for one year.
In 2005, Seeley joined forces with accomplished producer Ray Cham and co-wrote the song “Get’cha Head in the Game”, which was nominated for Best Original Music and Lyrics at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy.

Career
In 2004, Seeley played the role of Jordan Cahill’s singing voice in the Disney Channel Original Movie Stuck in the Suburbs. He tried out for the part of Jordan Cahill, but it was ultimately given to Taran Killam. However, Seeley did make an appearance in the film as a hotel staff member.
In 2005, Seeley worked with producer Ray Cham on “Get’cha Head in the Game” for Disney’s High School Musical soundtrack, earning an Emmy nomination. He also auditioned for Troy Bolton in the film, but Efron got the role. Seeley provided Troy’s singing voice, which was blended with Zac Efron’s in post-production.
Drew Seeley took Efron’s place on the North America and Latin America parts of the High School Musical: The Concert tour. Efron couldn’t go on the tour because he was busy filming the 2007 movie version of the Broadway show Hairspray.
