19-year-old George Duke-Cohan from Watford has admitted email and calls which led to the evacuation of schools along with a Federal Bureau of Evacuation into threats against a flight of United Airlines all the way from London to San Francisco. The teenage also made a bomb threat to West Herts College, his school, where he studied IT diploma.
The threat has led to the evacuation of the college which has affected around 2,000 students. Back in February, George Duke-Cohan has been excluded from the college after he admitted to the responsibility of the hoax.
Between March 16th and March 19th in 2018, over 400 colleges and colleges have reportedly been forced for evacuation after they received the threats from emails for detonating a bomb if they didn’t make a payment to the sender.
The court has heard that one of those emails which have been sent to a school’s special needs which have read, “this message is for everyone. They have reportedly sent a student in with a bomb and if money is not sent then the device will be detonated.
Luton Crown Court was reportedly told that thousands of students from around 457 schools had received similar emails that have caused upset as well as anxiety.
Sky News then spoke to the perpetrator during those days and had reportedly found that the gaming network of Minecraft VeltPvP has allegedly sent the email as the hoaxer was supposedly in a fight with the group.
Within a few days, Duke-Cohan was reportedly arrested in a few days given that the investigation began in April which he has sent to a further mass to more than a hundred of schools both in the UK and the US. It has also claimed that the pipe bombs have been planted on those premises. The emails has resulted in a widespread panic.
