Dylan Mulvaney gains nearly 100,000 followers due to the controversy surrounding her Bud Light agreement.
After it was reported that she would cooperate with the popular alcoholic beverage brand in a new ad, the transgender influencer faced anger.
On April 1, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to broadcast a video of herself dressed as Audrey Hepburn while drinking beer, followed by photos of personalized cans with her face on them supplied to her by the brewery to commemorate the “365 Days of Girlhood” milestone she had reached.
People online immediately condemned Bud Light after seeing the posts.
Some even swore they would never again consume the beer or any other Anheuser-Busch product.
Among the haters were well-known celebrities who expressed their displeasure.
Travis Tritt, a country music musician, announced on Twitter on April 6 that he was boycotting the product as a result of the Dylan Mulvaney-Bud Light deal.
“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same,” he told his 374,000 followers.
Despite the turmoil surrounding the relationship, Dylan Mulvaney’s success appears unaffected.
According to Newsweek, the 26-year-old content creator accumulates thousands of fans daily.
According to Social Blade statistics, Dylan Mulvaney’s Instagram has been expanding at an astounding rate of 2.9K followers per day since the beginning of April.
Mulvaney had around 1.76 million Instagram followers earlier this month. She has already amassed a stunning 1.82 million.
