After being trolled again on social media, Dylan Mulvaney has definitely hit back at trolls with a song.
In the video below, you can hear her touching musical response:
It happened after Dylan Mulvaney worked with Nike to promote their new line of sports br*s and leggings.
Since the heartwarming campaign went live, the TikTok star has been harassed online with transphobic comments and threats to boycott the brand.
She told an ironic story related to working out on Instagram about how she was working with the brand.
Alert the media — I’m entering my workout era,
the Broadway star teased as she told her nearly 2 million followers the news.
Some of Dylan Mulvaney’s fans were happy to see that she was happy with her body, but others saw it as a chance to make fun of her.
Right-wing groups have called for a boycott of Nike, and people have left hateful comments on her social media page.
Olympian Sharron Davies and tennis professional Martina Navratilova are two other well-known athletes who have spoken out against Dylan Mulvaney.
In a bitter tweet, the latter wrote:
I guess Nike couldn’t find a female athlete to sell sports br*s.
Even though fans were upset with the former Wimbledon champion, she kept going with a transphobic comment that said:
Sure. Next Dylan will be promoting t*mp*s…
You might think that these sports stars have better things to do with their time, but this isn’t the first time Mulvaney has been criticized.
The 26-year-old was criticized for posting about her transition on TikTok in an educational series called “365 Days of Girlhood.”
Since it started last year, the series has helped the Broadway actor gain a huge following on the platform, with 10 million people checking in every day to see what’s new.
But the show just ended with an emotional performance by Dylan Mulvaney at the Rainbow Room, where she was celebrating a year of being a woman and having surgery to make her face more feminine.
After the controversy this week, the content creator posted a clip of herself singing the classic song “No One is Alone” during a performance.
The content creator said that the song from the musical “Into the Wood,” which she had been criticized for, was especially fitting.
In the caption, she wrote:
It’s hard to see the light now, just don’t let it go… this song felt fitting for the week I’ve been having. All is well! Cheers.
