In a brutal encounter between Amir Khan of Singapore and Eduard Folayang, the Singaporean was out-struck, outpunched and completely outwrestled by Folayang, who recaptured his title of the ONE world lightweight champion this Friday.
There were a lot of questions raised on the capability of Folayang when he lost to Martin Nguyen last year. The Australian brutally defeated the Team Lakay fighter and gave the critic a chance to questions the latter’s potential inside the cage.

But the Baguio fighter ignored it all and worked on his methods, and made his place in the finals defeating two Russian fighters. In the final, he met Khan, his arch nemesis, in front of a supportive crowd. The match witnessed the best of Folayang when he delivered his signature spinning kicks and just ruled the cage with his elbows and fists.
Folayang was unpredictable on many occasions with his back spinning kicks which landed directly on Khan’s head.
This was the perfect birthday gift for Folayang, who turned 34 this Thursday.
