Elon Musk is back at it again announcing new changes to Twitter. The Tesla founder is making the most significant change to soon-to-be X social media platform by foregoing the iconic blue bird logo. Musk took to his Twitter on July 23, 2023, to announce that he will rebrand the social media platform and change the logo.
Elon Musk Bids Adieu To Twitter Bird Logo
Ever since Musk took over Twitter, he has launched quite a few substantive modifications to the social media platform. Last year, he announced the verified subscription plan for all Twitter users, and this year he limited the daily tweet consumption limits for verified and unverified users.
However, the biggest change came on Sunday morning when Musk announced the rebranding of Twitter and its logo. The CTO of Twitter declared that X.com is the new website domain replacing Twitter.com.

He also expressed his love for the letter ‘X’ in a tweet posted where he can be seen gesturing the letter.

Twitter CEO, Linda Yaccarino also stated how ‘X’ will “transform the global town square.”
“It’s an exceptionally rare thing – in life or in business – that you get a second chance to make another big impression. Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go further, transforming the global town square.”
She also added that ‘X’ is an AI-powered platform which will feature unlimited services such as payments, messaging, videos, and audio, among other things.
“X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.
There’s absolutely no limit to this transformation. X will be the platform that can deliver, well….everything. [Elon Musk] and I are looking forward to working with our teams and every single one of our partners to bring X to the world.”

Another change that Elon Musk is considering bringing to the platform is changing the default colour to black. He took a poll to ask the public’s opinion on whether they would be on board with the idea. Almost 74% of people agreed to the change. He also expressed how he loves the negative feedback that the users share about his ideas, taking a dig at other platforms that are often criticized for censorship.
“Frankly, I love the negative feedback on this platform. Vastly preferable to some sniffy censorship bureau!”
