Elon Musk has said that he sleeps surrounded by Diet Coke cans and, perhaps more surprisingly, two guns next to him at night. And this isn’t the first time he’s shown off some of his more unusual things.
Yes, you might think that the world’s richest man would protect himself with something a little more, well, sophisticated and subtle, but we know what he’s like, right?
The owner of Twitter posted a picture of the two guns sitting on his nightstand on his own social media site.
Also, there are four empty cans of caffeine-free Diet Coke.
One of them looks old because it’s in a case with a picture of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. The other one, on the other hand, looks like it could be real and ready to use.
We can’t be sure if the guns are real or fake, but the fact that Elon told his millions of followers about them is still interesting.
Also, it’s clear that he doesn’t have enough coasters because there are terrible rings on the table where his cans of soda have been sitting.
All of this looks like a teenager’s room, doesn’t it?
Musk did later say in a tweet that there is “no excuse” for his lack of coasters.
Elon, what would your mom say?
At the moment, Musk seems to be living in San Francisco while he works on making Twitter more of his image.
Since he took over, there hasn’t been a dull moment, to put it mildly.
First, he fired a lot of people and then hired some of them back. Then, he put Donald Trump back on the job on a whim after taking a poll on his own account.
He has also told the people who are still working there to be ready to work “hardcore” and “long hours at high intensity.”
He told them that if they didn’t want to do that, they could leave.
There has also been a big stir about the blue verification ticks on the platform, with Musk saying that there will be a subscription fee to get one.
That means that anyone can pay to be verified these days, which kind of takes away from the point of it all.
But what do we know, eh?
He has also said that suspended accounts will get a “general amnesty” as long as they haven’t broken the law or sent out a lot of spam.
Musk has set himself up as a champion of free speech on Twitter, but it’s not clear exactly what that means.
As always, we’ll have to wait and see how everything turns out in the end.
It will definitely be interesting.
