According to a recent Vanity Fair exposé, media magnate Rupert Murdoch informed model and actress Jerry Hall through email that their six-year marriage was coming to an end.
The then-91-year-old billionaire’s communication began, “Jerry, sadly, I’ve decided to call an end to our marriage,” according to Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman, who claimed to have seen a snapshot of the June 2022 email. “We have definitely enjoyed ourselves, but I still have a lot to accomplish…My New York attorney will get in touch with yours right now.
At their estate in Oxfordshire, England, Hall, 66, was reportedly waiting for her husband when she got the email. They got hitched in 2016.

According to Vanity Fair, Hall informed friends that the email caught her off guard.
The divorce was finalized in August.
Murdoch announced in March that he had proposed to Ann Lesley Smith, a 66-year-old former dental hygienist. Only two weeks later, word came that the wedding had been canceled.
He would have been married for the fifth time. Hall was formerly married to Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, with whom she had four children.
