Eric Reid makes a historic entry in NFL and had taken a knee to show his respect in the honor of his national anthem.
With the first game with the Carolina Panthers, his teammates raised his safety by embracing him on his return. Last year his teammate Julius Peppers choose to stay in the locker room while the national anthem was played before the game.
While explaining his decision to kneel he said in his statement that he believes his country has made no progress in terms of social justice is concerned. In his statement, he clearly mentioned that his country has made small steps. But people try to give crumbs and present them as cakes. He said that people can join him for his opinion or can hate him for the fact of the truth will remain the same.
One reporter enquired him that when he will stop kneeling Reid had continued and said that when the time will come he will stop kneeling before the anthem. Reid has made headlines along with his teammate former San Francisco a 49 years teammate. During, the anthem in order to raise social awareness against police brutality and social injustice during the season of 2016. He has contributed 49 years of his life to this game and continued to kneel then he had parted in the offseason. He remained unsigned until he had reached a year deal with Panthers two years ago.
Thus from the above statement of Reid made it clear that until and unless people learned to respect their national anthem and bring social justice and against police brutality. He will continue his movement in different forms.
