We are all excited to know when we can watch the new season of Euphoria. Right now, people are guessing it might be ready around 2025, but the official date has not been announced yet.
Earlier, there was news that they would start filming Season 3 at the end of 2023. But a few things happened that delayed the plans. Maude Apatow, one of the stars of Euphoria, talked about this in an interview.
She said,
“I honestly don’t know a single thing… I’m totally in the dark!”
And then there were some strikes in the world of entertainment that made the wait longer. So now we might need to wait until 2025. Keep checking here for updates!
Who’s Coming Back for Season 3?
The people we love to see on the show will mostly be back. Zendaya, who plays Rue, will be there. Some other familiar faces are also returning:
-Hunter Schafer as Jules
-Jacob Elordi as Nate
-Alexa Demie as Maddy
-Algee Smith as Chris
-Sydney Sweeney as Cassie
-Maude Apatow as Lexi
-Storm Reid as Gia
-Nika King as Leslie
-Austin Abrams as Ethan
-Colman Domingo as Ali
-Dominic Fike as Elliot
But there’s one person from the show who won’t be back. Her name is Barbie Ferreira, and she acted as Kat Hernandez in the first two seasons of the show. She said she won’t be in Season 3. She shared this news on Instagram in August. She doesn’t want to only be known as the “fat best friend.” She wrote a message to her followers about it.
She said, “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,”.
“I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character that she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you Katherine Hernandez.”
Some actors won’t be back in Euphoria Season 3. One of them is Javon Walton, who played Ash Tray. His character had a bad ending in the last episode of Season 2.
What’s the Plot in Euphoria Season 3?
As for Euphoria Season 3’s storyline, it’s a blank slate for now. The end of Season 2 was very exciting. It left us wondering what will happen next to the characters, especially Rue. She and Jules are not together anymore. Season 3 might show us what happens between them.
Cassie changed a lot in Season 2. She used to be happy, but she became more selfish. The end of Season 2 was tough for her. The actress, Sydney Sweeney, wants to keep showing this darker side of Cassie in Season 3.
“There was a bit of Cassie that I got to play with when she started saying that she’s crazier than Maddy in a scene with Nate. And she kind of got a little more evil and dark and serious, and not so frantic. I would love to play with more of that streak within herself,”
she told Variety.
“I like playing characters that are complex and have multiple layers. And people wonder if they’re evil or good, and pure or not. I like playing characters that make people think and make me think.
“Cassie, especially in the beginning, I never thought of her as scary. I just think of her as a really fragile, damaged girl.”
But, Sam Levinson just told Elle magazine that he thinks of Euphoria Season 3 as a dark and mysterious story. He wants to show how Zendaya’s character Rue tries to stay true to her beliefs even in a bad world.
