Fans might have to wait a little longer for One Piece Chapter 1087 as it goes on a hiatus due to Eiichiro Oda’s surgery.
When is One Piece Chapter 1087 coming out?
One Piece Chapter 1087 will miss up to four issues from Weekly Shonen Jump (29,30,31,31). One Piece Chapter 1087 is pushed to release on 18th July 2023. Although, we will get One Piece Chapter 1086, this month, on 12th June 2023, just as planned.
What happened to Eiichiro Oda?
Eiichiro Oda has Astigmatism, an eye condition that makes our vision blurry. When the cornea or lens of the eye has an uneven shape, light beams unevenly concentrate, blurring or distorting eyesight at all distances.
Oda left a warm handwritten note for the fans for the delay on One Piece Chapter 1087.
I apologize!! I will be taking a break for four issues!! (Jump issues 29, 30, 31, and 32)
Well, regarding the final chapters of ONEPIECE, I want to let you know that I really need to undergo surgery. I will be having a surgery to shoot beams from my eyes!!
I know it may seem like a joke, but I’m telling you because I don’t want to worry you unnecessarily. Recently, I’ve been suffering from severe astigmatism.
You see, things appear blurry to me.
This has been causing difficulties in my work, so I’ve been discussing it with the editor-in-chief since last year. They told me to go ahead and have the surgery!
I’ll work on improving my vision and come back! Please bear with me for a little while!
