Pierce Vaughan was in all tears when she learned that she has to work on Christmas. The flight attendant of the Delta Air Lines couldn’t get leave to spend time with her family on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
But thanks to her father Hal Vaughan who made it the best ever Christmas for her. After realizing that his daughter will be in the air for the holidays, Hal boarded the flight and flew across the country with her. The father-daughter duo traveled on flights from Fort Meyers to Detroit and from Detroit to Massachusetts.
Coming from a middle-class family, Hal used the family benefits provided by the Delta Air Lines to book the flights. A Delta employee is entitled to free/reduced travel for parents, spouse and dependent children.
After the travel, Pierce wrote on Facebook how this benefit was a big success for her dad. She thanked every crew member who was with her during the course of the journey. She said that her dad got the Christmas gift, when he got to know that he will be traveling in first class RSW-DTW.
A fellow passenger Mike Levy posted pictures of father and daughter and wrote that it was amazing to see such a lovely gesture by Mr. Vaughan.
