Faye Marsay is a well-known British actress. Faye Elaine Marsay was born in Middlesbrough on December 30, 1986. She went to the Laurence Jackson School in Guisborough after relocating to Loftus.
After attending Prior Pursglove College, Marsay joined the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she portrayed Shen Te in The Good Soul of Szechuan, Runt in Disco Pigs, Fleance and the First Wyrd Sister in Macbeth, and Sissy Jupe in Hard Times.
She received the 2012 Spotlight Prize while attending the Old Vic school. She got a major part in The White Queen as soon as she graduated.

Faye Marsay played Anne Neville in The White Queen, her first paid role, in 2013. Next, Marsay portrayed Candice Pelling, a new “fresher” in the television show Fresh Meat.
Marsay portrayed Lizzie Lancaster in The Bletchley Circle’s second season in 2014. She debuted in two projects in September. The first was Pride, a BAFTA-nominated movie in which she portrayed Steph. The second was the murder mystery TV miniseries Glue.
Additionally, Marsay played Shona McCullough in the 2014 Doctor Who Christmas special “Last Christmas.” Showrunner Steven Moffat had envisioned Shona as a new, permanent companion to replace Jenna Coleman, who had chosen to quit the production.
Faye Marsay made her debut as the Waif in the fifth season of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones at the start of 2015. Marsay was chosen in June to play Katie Springer, a new character in the last season of the television show My Mad Fat Diary. Marsay was selected as one of Screen International’s 2015 Stars of Tomorrow at the start of October.
In the “No Two Days” episode, Faye Marsay played Izzie. Wearing an American accent, Marsay made an appearance in the video game Need for Speed in November as Amy.
Faye Marsay costarred with Lucy Punch and David Tennant in Daisy Aitkens’ first feature, You, Me and Him, in 2017. She also made an appearance in Gary Oldman’s film, Darkest Hour. She also starred in the Royal Court Theatre’s staging of Jim Cartwright’s play Road.
Marsay and Sarah Parish co-starred in the ITV miniseries Bancroft in December 2017. She also starred in the drama Shamed on Channel 4 in 2017.
She also co-starred with James Norton in the BBC/AMC series McMafia in 2018. Marsay costarred with Jamie Dornan, Rosamund Pike, and Stanley Tucci in the November film A Private War.
In 2019, Marsay portrayed DC Joanne Aspinall in the six-part drama Deep Water on ITV, which also starred Sinead Keenan, Rosalind Eleazar, and Anna Friel. She provided narration for two episodes of the E4 series The Sex Clinic in 2020.
As Vel Sartha, she made her television debut in 2022 in the new Star Wars television series Andor, which is a prequel to the film Rogue One. In Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre’s production of Lady Chatterley’s Lover, which starred Emma Corrin and Jack O’Connell, she later played Hilda Reid.
